Chris Hamm, nicknamed "Hammer" for his power, was a prolific run producer in a 22 year career -- smart, unselfish, a daring baserunner who avoided getting into pickles. He retired in third place all-time with 904 hits, 163 doubles, 110 walks, 749 runs and 579 games (plus 116 in playoffs/tournaments). He was fourth with 83 home runs, 594 singles, 1,633 total bases and 712 RBI.
